Signs of Fall

Date: 09/24/2014

Number: 1

While watching for monarchs and observing our hummingbirds we have seen bigger populations of both Giant Cloudless Sulphur butterflies and Painted Ladies likely heading on their migrations. This week, our large group of Goldfinches with their 25 plus young have taken off for parts unknown. And to me, one of the most wonderful things that happen each fall is the Chimney Swifts are gathering in larger groups and putting on wonderful displays of acrobatics each morning and night.
