Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/08/2014

Number: 300

I am teacher at the Iowa School for the Deaf. My students tagged the Monarch from Sept. 15-19th. Our field next to our school is used for conservation. The Monarch appeared like popcorn. They were in the hundreds. They were having a feeding frenzy. Not able to tag as many as we hoped due to the denseness of the plants.

We went to the field Sept. 24th and saw only a few. Most of the Monarch have passed through the Council Bluffs area.
