I saw a monarch flying in my backyard. I took several pics and even picked it up ,brought it in and taged it. I was hoping this might happen as there were 6 or 7 cats in the yard on August 31. Then I couldn't find them We found 1 chrysilis and have been protecting it. We have had some pretty cool nights but not a frost yet. I still have lots of nectar plants, so it can fuel up today. The temp is 26 and the wind is south at 21 with gusting.By the way, the chrysilis we have been watching is getting darker and hopefully with our temps in the 20's this week it will morph as well.
