Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/28/2014

Number: 1

I first spotted this monarch on the butterfly bush. It flew over the zinnia patch and a Painted lady decided to chase him out it the garden. But he came back and landed on my potted Lantana on my deck. It seems to be a favorite spot for butterflies and humming birds. It's up on a stand so maybe the humming birds feel safer. I don't know how long the monarch stayed in the garden. Once I got my picture I just let it feed on the flowers. I am pretty sure it was the one that visited yesterday I am down to one. It's in perfect condition.
