We have been cultivating a four acre field filled with milkweed which in the past we have cut two to three times during the prime growing season. This year we left the field uncut to entice monarchs. We have observed fewer than we would have liked but did not record them because we only discovered this site today after having watched one monarch flit around for a very brief time as the front part of the field was being cut.
