I had pair of monarchs on my Mexican sunflower late this afternoon. I will only report 1 because reported one earlier and could be the same one. I know one was a male but I am not sure about the other. Both butterflies were excellent condition. The sunflowers are starting to fade in fall sun but the monarch still seems to enjoy the nectar . I really don't know how long they were in the garden this afternoon. I was just surprised to see two there are so many Painted ladies this fall I see allot of orange flitting in the garden.
