We were on Hawk Watch Hill, at Ashland Hawk Watch. I think it's on a private reserve; it's a place where birders go to watch migrating hawks. You can see it on a map here: http://www.delawarenaturesociety.org/HawkWatch#.VCiYvRbQ3zU
Ashland Hawk Watch is on the eastern edge of the Piedmont Migration Route for hawks. It was about 2:00 pm on Sept 7, 2014. I saw just one monarch among the wildflowers around the grassy viewing area at the top of Hawk Watch Hill. There's a huge meadow all around the area.
