7 Adult Monarchs sighted on Sugar Lake Golf Course. They were "lollygagging" along in a southerly direction against a light S wind, temp upper 70's. This was the 3rd day of much above normal temps and followed an extended period of below normal temps. Also, 1st day w light S winds...over a week of strong S winds. Appeared to be looking for flowers (nectar)...and we don't have many left. Forecast is for below normal temps w N winds, but any warming will bring strong south winds...don't know if these guys will make it south! Most monarchs seen all summer in one day.
