At about 11:30 a.m. this morning we sighted a female monarch at the Blair Outdoor Education Centre. She was very bright and fresh looking, and feeding on heath and New England asters in our field. It was about 20 degrees C with a light SW wind. Ms. Obergan's grade 6 class from Tait Street P.S. was here studying Biodversity, and talking about migration, so it was great to see this butterfly off on it's epic journey.
