Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/28/2014

Number: 3

We have enjoyed all the hummingbirds this year. Last year we actually had babies here. It's been six days now since we have saw any. For a good two weeks before that we were down to one female and two young ones. Originally having about six all Summer. We had been filling the two feeders every other day during those two weeks. They had so much fun chasing each other while chattering and came to visit you right in your face. Then the bees started harassing them. We haven't observed any stragglers so far and so happy the left earlier this Fall than last year. The sugar water is now at a stand still. We will miss them but look forward to seeing them again in the Spring. We are keeping fresh sugar water up yet.
