One monarch came down from about 25 ft to feed on zinnias, butterfly bush, and blue cardinal flowers. It did not stay put long enough in any one spot for me to sex. The monarch lifted off and flew off for about 100 ft then circled back but didn't land and left going south againcq1` climbing to 15 ft. This monarch makes number 13 spotted for all of this year...better than last year but not by much (13 compared to 10 last year)...still, increases, even small increases, are better than falling numbers. I have added some milkweed to my flower beds for next year.
