Found an io moth caterpillar; placed it on a candelabra plant. Spotted a gulf fritillary butterfly, the first one this year. Usually there are numerous fritillaries in the garden, but the severe winter may have damaged over-wintering pupae. The fruits on Prunus angustufolia are turning red.
