Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/01/2014

Number: 1

One male monarch came in to nectar on my pansies, zinnias and blue cardinal flowers at 4:30 pm, staying for 10 minutes. He dropped in flying from the north. He flew off south. The hours listed are the total for the day.

This male is the 2nd monarch of the day and makes monarch number 14 for the year. I reported the first monarch this morning separately so I only listed one for this report. Both monarchs were brightly colored and not at all worn.

Weather--75 F high, partly cloudy, light breezes.
