Monarch emerged from chrysalis this afternoon. Is currently resting on houseplant on back porch drying its wings. It's a female. I put mashed bananas, watermelon and oranges nearby for food since there aren't many flowers blooming in the garden other than asters. She's been flapping her wings occasionally. It looks like she is going to overnight on the back porch.
