A friend of mine was boating a half mile off Fripp Island, SC, this past Saturday (9/27/14) and witnessed a steady flight on Monarchs flying south. I remember years ago boating on offshore southern Maine in early September and seeing more Monarchs migrating offshore than onshore that day.
