Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/01/2014

Number: 1

One lone adult fed non-stop for four hours at my purple asters. I thought it was very late in starting South! Sure hope he/she makes it! Earlier this Summer, assisted a newly-emerged Monarch that had fallen into the ground, & both right wings were crumpled. Flight was impossible and I assumed it wouldn't make it..but decided to put into butterfly bush & let it feed. Next day..still tere feeding, wings still crumpled. Day #3..wings finally straightened & it flew off! If left on the ground, I don't think it would have survived. So be patient & help them feed...they can recover!
