Now the Black Chins are coming in this evening. What a chase for the lone female also arriving late.The Ruby-throat female also arrived a day early watching the skie all the time from the twig near feeders. The young male Rufus is around staying clear as usual. We shall see what happens after tonights cold front. The photo included shows what we have to do to help incoming over wintering hummingbirds by keeping plants in pots from freezing with overhead protection in Houston.
