Still have at least fifteen birds guarding feeders and chasing each other around. Have had 4 separate incidents in the last 2 weeks of a single hummer going into our garage through a 3-foot wide entry door and getting trapped inside. (After a summer of none getting trapped - they must be migrants.) We hang a feeder in there, cover the windows, and open the full width door each time so the bird can at least feed until it can find its way back out. A strong cold front is moving through the area today; I imagine most of our birds will leave.
