Although it is barely 50 degrees here this morning and we had heavy cold rains all through the night, this little one came to one of the feeders at 840 this morning. Looking a bit wet and cold s/he drank for a long time and as I am writing this it is back for more. We are no longer seeing the routine 8 birds that seemed to be here all summer, they seem to be gone. It is just the stragglers now as they make their way South. I will make new syrup today and refill all 8 feeders but I do believe that it will be the last time this year. Safe travels you beautiful little jewels. God Speed!
