Yesterday(10/2/14) a front moved through dallas changing wind directions.
Thi(10/3/14) morning I started observing monarchs flying south as early as 8am north of Frisco in some open fields, my count reached 70 by noon. I stopped counting but i estimate seeing 150-200 directionally flying.

When I got home I checked for roosting at the creek near my house ( this is where as a child I witnessed 1000's of monarchs roosting one year). I observed an estimated 12/20 monarchs roosting for the night.

Extremely excited to see the start of the migration through dallas, will update if numbers continue to rise!
