I had 6 males (a record for me) sharing (3 or 4 would actually sit and drink together!) or fighting for space on my backyard feeder. With a cold front approaching and expected to bring temps down into the 40's, I wondered whether they were on a feeding frenzy to fuel up before continuing their journey.
