Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 10/03/2014

Number: 1

I have had 15-20 Queens daily in my butterfly garden. I noted a larger butterfly so I went and got my binocs and sure enough it was a female Monarch. This is the first I have seen all year and I look frequently. She has been here for for at least two days. Yesterday, it flew up and sunned itself on an oak tree at daylight. I just happened to be at the right spot. I tried to take a picture but I had trouble with the camera. She sat on the oak branch for about 20 minutes.
