Cape May Monarch Monitoring Project census results for Friday, Oct. 3: 34.3 monarchs/hour. We saw a small increase late yesterday and this morning, surprising given east winds. A cold front is expected to pass midday Saturday, bringing northwest winds on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Northwest winds are best for bringing monarchs into Cape May, we're hoping for a good influx.
