On Sunday, 9-14, I saw 5 monarchs, flying west and south, between 11:45 am and 12:10 pm. It was warm and sunny at the time. I was walking to the east, on Lakeland Street, along the shoreline of Lake Monona, here in Madison. This may have been peak fall migration, for monarch butterflies in our area, but I can't be certain.
