This is only the second monarch butterfly I have seen this year (other than the 10 caterpillars/eggs I found on a butterfly weed I bought, all of which I raised and watched fly away in September). Both of the other monarch caterpillars were at the Huron Natural Area, the first sighting in September and this second one October 3rd. Uaually I see more monarch butterflies, and milkweed plants.
