Today was cold and windy (62 degrees). I saw one adult female monarch clinging to the tropical milkweed and thought she may have just emerged from somewhere in my yard. I brought her indoors and placed her in an enclosure. Within a minute of warming up, she started flapping alot so when the sun came out, I released her back into the yard. She was a rusty orange color on her wings. She nectared on tithonia and butterfly bushes.
