Spotted about 3 Monarchs flying over the Watauga Campus of CCC&TI in a SW direction. I have been spotting 1-2 of them everyday for the past 2 weeks. The school is at about 3800 feet and has a beautiful overview of Grandfather Mountain. It also has powerful winds and updrafts for the area.
