We still had two females here feeding heavily on feeders and Jewelweed on 9/29. That night the temp dropped from 83 to 63 with wind. Tubby girl was last with us on 9/30. She was gone 10/1. The skinny girl stayed until 10/2. She left the feeder in early afternoon and I have not seen any birds since then. It is very cool here in Northern Ill. with frost warnings last night. I always keep the feeders up and full until freezing threatens. I will miss the little ones and wish them well on their journey.
