WhooHoo! Another sighting! Adult female (duller green/brown with dusky chest and larger size than juveniles) came to the feeders and fed repeatedly later in the afternoon. She was probably held up by gusty winds from the SE. She was my first sighting in three days. I imagine the colder air to the north started her south. I apparently had several visitors today whilst I was out for several hours because the feeders showed consumption of 2+ oz. I have taken down 2 of the feeders but am maintaining the remaining two with regular emptying, cleaning and refilling. I was very happy to have her visit...it's one less day of hummingbird withdrawal.
Weather- today low of 43 F to high of 77 F, sunny, gusty winds from SE around 15 steady mph to 20mph gusts(yesterday low was 39 F and high was 63 F.)
