Late afternoon, flock of approximately 30 flew over the pasture surrounding my home in the country. Observed 4 more monarchs at early dusk flying south but were not in a flock rather in solo flight approximately 15-20 minutes apart at 6:00 p.m. Additionally, the school I teach at is 30 miles south and I found two monarch caterpillars (I think)on scrub that made a chrysalis on October 1. Awaiting next step. Took picture of caterpillars/chrysalis in butterfly net habitat. Two students observed monarchs (4) at the University of Tulsa garden area, and at Zink Park (3) monarch on tree trunk weekend of 9-27-13 between 12:00 noon and 2:00 afternoon.
