While releasing four healthy adult monarch butterflies (3 male, one female)in the afternoon, we were thrilled when my daughter found a small monarch caterpillar on a tiny patch of milkweed. Brought it in to rear to chrysalis stage. Have never found caterpillars here this late in the season! Thought we were done for the year.
