The three late-season caterpillars we found outside in the past 10-12 days have now all formed their chrysalises. Because temps were so cold and rainy, we kept them in a container indoors to speed their development. (We want them to have a chance to make it to Mexico!) The first formed 10/5, the second on 10/7, and the third today 10/8. We are keeping their container indoors until they eclose and hope we'll get some milder temperatures in the next two weeks (currently 50s here in Northeast Ohio).
