While sitting outside on a beautiful (73 degree) late afternoon, I was observing the sky for monarchs as I had seen several earlier as I worked in the gardens. They were flying high (50-80 feet above ground) and heading south. I counted 23 from 4:00-5:00pm. Best of luck to you!
