We are a first grade class from Valley Oak Elementary in Fresno, CA. We see butterflies in our school garden and in our neighborhood. We will observe the life cycle of a butterfly in the spring.

We want to help Monarch butterflies stay alive because they are an important part of nature. If they do not stay alive, they cannot lay eggs to continue the cycle. The butterflies are part of a food chain. They effect other animals and habitats. Monarch butterflies are interesting to learn about!
