There was a female Ruby Throat Hummingbird at my hummingbird feeder yesterday around 10:30 a.m. It was still cool around 62° or so. Nice and sunny no clouds in the sky. She drank for about 1 minute and flew up into my big White Oak tree and landed on the same dead branch as all the hummingbirds have all summer long. I hate to see them leave but I am wondering why they are still here? All the "Old Timers" I have spoke to say that they normally leave mid to late September, they have never seen them here this long.
