Greetings from Virginia's Eastern Shore! I now have 31 chrysalises on my side porch in my several net holding containers. These are the ones that made it this far from the original eggs and caterpillars I discovered earlier. The cool temps seemed to slow everything down as the caterpillars were eating, and a few didn't make it to the chrysalis stage. Now we should expect butterflies beginning in the next few days if all goes well. I'll send them on their way as they emerge...hopefully in warm weather and a southern wind!
