Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 09/28/2014

Number: 6

The photos were taken the 28th of September on the shores of Lake Ontario in Toronto. I was walking my dogs in a small public park near the lake when I came upon the flower bush and a number of monarchs flying about. I was surprised to see so many happily feeding and not seeming to care about flying south. Then again, they had all disappeared by the 30th.

In the spring I hope to plant this flower and any others listed on the web site, hoping to have a profusion of butterflies by next August.
