Oct. 9/14 - Antonia G from Royal Ontario Museum: My son (great young lepidopterist)competed in a cross country race today (Ashbridges Bay in East Toronto). He saw over 17 Monarchs and a Red Admiral. I saw about 10 Monarchs during the hour I was there. There was a strong north wind and Colin noted that they were not heading out over the lake but following the shore in a southwesterly direction. I suggested it was likely they were going to the Leslie St Spit before starting out over the lake.
