We grew 20 swamp milkweed plants from www.livemonarch.com/tac starting in june. During the last week of september we noticed that the milkweed was being eaten by monarch caterpillers! Last Monday we watched the first butterfly emerge from its chrysalis. Yesterday we released the last one and saw about 4 others flying around our garden. 4 out of 7 flew west when we released them.
