Monarchs has been gliding into my backyard since 10:00 this morning. It is now 4:00 in the afternoon. I have a roost of about 50 in the bamboo plants.

October 14
Most of them left yesterday (10/13) afternoon. The rest left during that night. There are 5-6 flying around the backyard now (10/14), nectaring on milkweed and Greg's Mist. I had a roost about 6 years ago of around 1000 monarchs. They stayed for 5 days. We had winds up to 25 mph yesterday (10/13), so maybe that had something to do with them not staying.
