While waiting in my car in a parking lot to pick up a family member, I saw one monarch butterfly heading south today at 4 pm on a cloudy day with a steady rain falling. It was flying fairly low, about 25 feet. Temp was 57 degrees with a ENE wind at about 10 mph. I've never seen a monarch flying in the rain.
