a warm day, light breeze. Saw 5 monarchs between 2 and 3 pm in a field of blooming clover, nectaring. One landed briefly 25 feet up in an oak tree. Several years ago a nearby oak tree had had quite a large cluster approx. a foot long of monarchs one evening. I was not able to check for that this evening but will be able to look there tomorrow on the hope they may be there again.
