Released last male Monarch (that I raised) at 8am on a zinnia flower. Temp 63 with overcast skies. High of 76 today. Probably my last chance to release him as it is going to get much colder. He doesn't seem able to fly. Tried several times over the last few weeks to release him and he only flew in a downward direction. Wings are perfectly formed and no signs of OE. He just doesn't seem strong enough. I checked again at 4pm today and he was gone. Hope he makes it to Mexico!
