Today's weather seemed a bit like March rather than October as it was rainy and windy one moment and then the sun came out and then back to rain and wind. It was warm and very muggy rather than cold like March would have been. There was a possibility of hail, but thankfully for the Monarchs, we did not experience that here. We were not expecting to see Monarchs today, but when we first looked at the butterfly bush at 10:30am, we saw 2 Monarchs. As the day went on we would see 1 or 2 each time. With the weather the way it was, we were not for sure if these were the same two hanging around until the rain cleared or new ones. Around 3pm, we looked out and saw 4, then before too long 5, then 6, and the most we counted at once were 7! When they finally left a couple hours later, we saw 2 or 3 more before evening. It was quite a day!
