Watched monarchs begin settling into a golden rod field about 3:30 pm and still coming in @ 5pm. At about 5:15 pm the monarchs were coming from “behind” the bluff and gathering down in the “bowl” that was made up of primarily goldenrods. There were none in the trees. They had began randomly leaving the “bowl” when I passed by between 9:30 and 10 the morning of the 16th.

The bulk of the monarchs had moved on this afternoon. Maybe a dozen or so settled in.
