Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/14/2014

Number: 300

We observed hundreds of migrating Monarchs flying above our school fast with a purpose heading south all day long on Tuesday, October 14th.

They stopped at our Labyrinth garden, the Bluebonnet Montessori Children's garden, to feast at our free buffet "drink all flower nectar you can" between 12:30 pm and 2:30 pm - there were hundreds of them in our 400 sqf garden and the beauty of the sight just took our breath away.

The children were so excited and happy. There were less Monarchs today (10/15). I will report again if the numbers increase. I would say Tuesday 10/14/14 was the peak in Lakeway, Texas as we have been waiting for a long time!
