I released 70 late stage monarchs in the past 4 days. A very beat up female mated this morning with one of my tagged males. I don't think she could make it to Mexico with only half a forewing. They were first observed mating at 7:30 AM and continue now at 10:15. I brought them in so I can let her lay eggs on milkweed inside.
