Although the peak migration has passed, I am still seeing 20 to 50 monarchs flying south per day. The majority of the monarchs pass from approximately 9am to 10:30am, when the winds are still relatively low but the sun has warmed things up. When the day is sunny, I see a few monarchs heading south all day long, all using my tree lines and wildlife corridors as protection from the south winds. I am seeing a few visiting our frost weed and butterfly bushes, but most are just "passin' through."
