I work in a very large outside garden area of a retail chain store. They were floating around and landing on many different flowers for at least a couple of hours. I was thrilled! Customers commented on them too, we were all enchanted. They are larger than most of our other butterflies, and have more of a gliding, drifting motion. We were able to see them close up as they made their rounds sampling many different flowers. I live a few miles out of town, and have not yet seen any on my property, so it was quite a treat to see them at my workplace! That is understandable of course, since the outdoor garden center has an abundance of flowers. It makes me want to plant more-especially milkweed!
