Monarch Adult Sighted
Sightings report image

Date: 10/18/2014

Number: 2

There were two Monarchs on my butterfly bush at once. I must have spent 30 minutes trying get them both in one photograph. I think one was male and the other female but the "female" was kind of tattered and I never could get a really good look at her wings. Every so often they would "touch" each other; I'm inclined to think they were traveling together. 30 minutes after I left to look at my photographs, they were still at the butterfly bush. I've reported this under "Peak Migration." I hope that's correct.
